16-8-2009 - *14 Weeks*

My mood while writing this blog: Just Chillin

So last night I went to a friends co-ed baby shower and it was so nice to be around another person who cannot drink! There were LOTS of babies there and it made me want my little one so badly! After the shower my husband and I stopped over at a house party that was having a few bands play. So my baby got to go to its first metal show whoohoo! He/She got to go to Lefwich, a local band with some friends in it. Our friend Doug is the lead singer and it still cracks me up when he stands by my husband because they are like twins! I was hoping to feel something after standing directly by the speaker, a flutter or something, but noooo just bad growing pains haha!

Speaking of growing pains, phew they are often recently. I get them on either side, directly in the middle down low in my uterus area, up high by my belly button, and in the middle of my lower back. I get stabbing pains if I move too fast, and I have crampy pains other times. Gotta make that uterus grow haha! I think my baby is in a growth spurt today. I slept 12 hrs over night then ended up taking a 4 hr nap. Felt so good to just sleep, its such a rainy day outside!

So my mom ordered the baby furniture yesterday! It went on a major sale so she went ahead and ordered it for us. Now I really have to get a move on cleaning out our office/2nd bedroom area! We are getting a crib, mattress and a changing table/dresser with a lighted hutch.

I am so convinced I am having a girl. If all the old wives tales run true I sure am haha! I think I may actually be a bit disappointed at first if I am having a boy, just because I have thought girl for so long and would love to have a daughter. This is probably going to be our only child, as we just don't really think we want two, so I want what I want.......but will get what i get haha!
