16-9-2009 - *18 Weeks*

My mood while writing this blog: Puffy

I am so stinkin swollen it's not even funny! I normally have nice thin hands, wrists and bony ankles and feet but NOT ANYMORE! I feel like an edematous blob of fluid. I guess I am going to try and really push the fluids and see if I can get this a little more under control. That's about it for this week, nothing new happening just waiting for the 29th to get here and hoping the sprout is 100% normal.

Edit: 9/17 My swelling is turning to pitting on my ankles and shins. I didn't notice the shins until after clinicals today when I was on my feet for 6 hrs. The special socks I have helped a lot though, even though I was swollen my legs were not hardly sore. To top that off I am getting my first cold since being pregnant. Luckily I popped some Tylenol and did a salt water gargle to decrease the soreness and swelling in my throat and that has helped some what. I just need to get through tomorrow morning and then I can just go ahead and be sick all weekend if I must! My bed and I will be meeting early this evening.
