| 02-11-2009 - *25 Weeks* | My mood while writing this blog:Being battered from the womb! |
So after my U/S last week I asked my midwife if there were any positions that I could assume that would entice little Dallas to move from frank breech to head down. She told me no, but I could have swore I read about things to try in my OB nursing book so I researched it online and sure enough....LOTS of things to try! So needless to say I was laying with my hips super elevated and pelvis open and wow that baby started moving like crazy!!! He moved a lot, I felt some twists, but not a rotation so I will continue to try and lay like that a couple times a day and see what happens. The thing I will not do again is lay that way on the floor with my hips on the sofa...i about passed out from laying like that and have had a horrible headache the entire day. I will try it in my soft bed next time...duh right.
The nursery furniture is finally set up, my mom came over and her and my husband got everything set up. I put the bassinet together today so it is finally looking like there is a baby on the way. The bedding is ordered and just have to wait to get that so I can match colors and paint my letters and 3 drawer stand. I posted pix of the nursery thus far, and will continue to post photos until it is finished. I am done with nursing school in 3 1/2 weeks so I will have lots of time to paint/decorate/sew yay!
Little Dallas is starting to kick harder, but still in the same area of my belly. I got kicks in a somewhat different place after I did my positioning today, but mainly still feeling it midline under my umbilicus. The kicks are still not waking me up in the night, though I think they are manifesting in my dreams.
