| 10-1-2009 - Food, food, and random stuff! | My mood while writing this blog:Curious |
I don't know why but for some odd reason I can't eat one of my all time favorite foods. Its been this way for the past 2 1/2 months. I can't eat PIZZA. Its so weird.... Just the thought of pizza or the smell makes me nauseated. It started a few months ago when the family and I were sitting down at the kitchen table eating pizza for supper. I wasn't even halfway through my slice and I started gagging. I had to spit out the food in a napkin and throw away the rest. I did manage to not throw up, but I came really close. yuck, huh? Something about it just DOES NOT APPEAL to me. It really sucks because the families always like to order pizzas and have us over, or there is always pizza somewhere. As far as I'm concerned you can just keep it away from me.
This pregnancy seemed just like my first...Especially in the beginning. I guess it is just me when I'm pregnant. (I'm not much of a big hot dog eater.) but for some ODD reason (Like right before I even find out I'm pregnant from a pregnancy test.) I want HOT DOGS. EVERY DAY... 3-4 hot dogs a day. I was the same exact way with my daughter in 2005. The hot dog cravings disappeared in the 2nd month and I went back to not really caring for them. The same thing happened with this pregnancy. All of a sudden I started craving hot dogs and thats all I wanted to eat. At first I didn't think much of it until one night we were eating our hot dogs and my husband looks at me and says "You're pregnant." Sure enough, 2 days later we tested and it came out positive. Of course I'm not eating hot dogs now.(yucky) LOL Its so weird. I guess thats just my sign of letting me know I'm pregnant. I thought for sure I was going to have another girl because of the "eating hot dog" thing but I think thats just me pregnant.
I do have to say that when I was pregnant for my daughter I wanted sweets. I ate more chocolates and ice cream than I did in my life. For this pregnancy (so far) I want salty stuff. Salty french fries, potato chips, I put sea salt on anything I eat. *(I'm having a boy!*) I still eat chocolate sometimes and I want something sweet but it isn't anything more than what I would normally eat when I wasn't pregnant. So maybe that old wives tale is true? Maybe not. Who knows.
I've pretty much had the same symptoms for both pregnancies and its been the same but now I'm starting to realize that my son isn't as active as my daughter was at almost 19 weeks pregnant. I feel him move sometimes but even on the ultrasound (I can only assume he was trying to sleep.) he wasn't nearly as active as Lily was.
I also ate anything and everything when I was pregnant for Lily, nothing really grossed me out, especially when I loved the food before!
I'm also having more ache and cramps during this pregnancy. I've been having them since we found out we were expecting again. I'm starting to get a little concerned about my little one in there. I go see my doctor on the 16th of January so I will talk to him about all that. I remember when I was pregnant for my daughter I only ached and cramped during those first 2 months. After that ..nothing... Hmmm.. maybe I'm just trying to compare my pregnancies too much?
Lastnight I had a dream I started bleeding a little bit. BRIGHT red blood. I hate those dreams. They freak me out. Then I read on here about people bleeding after sex so you know what?? I avoid SEX all the time. STAY away... I'm just not interested. Poor husband. :) He understands though and I force myself to every once in a while for his sake.
I'm starting to feel more uncomfortable at night when I sleep. I'm having a hard time with the aches and pains in my lower abdomen and my stomach. (All sides) Its hard for me to lay down on my sides for too long. I always find myself waking up and I'm always sleeping on my back. I never knew about the risks while pregnant with my daughter. I always slept on my back and she came out HEALTHY. I'm thinking about buying that pregnancy body pillow. It is like $50 bucks and another extra $15 dollars for the damn pillowcase but hey, if it makes me a little more comfortable then I'm getting it.
Before I found out that I was pregnant again, I was taking Kundalini Yoga. I would go every Friday morning and I loved it! They also have Pregnancy Yoga and my teacher has been wanting me to go back for some time now. I'm thinking this may help "loosen my stiffness" up a bit. I'm so achy and stiff. Classes start on Tuesday the 13th.
I recently made my online baby registry. I started making one at Target but then realized that EVERYTHING I wanted and MORE (That Target didn't offer) was on Amazon.com. I LOVEEEE Amazon. This is where I buy just about everything and I always find the coolest stuff and the best deals.
I'm already having people ask me about when my baby shower will be. I once heard that you should only have a baby shower with your first pregnancy and that it was wrong if you had a baby shower for your second baby. What do you ladies think?
Anyway, I'm kind just in the mood to talk. So far we are invited to 3 weddings this year and I'm in one of them. (1 month after the baby is born...I get to serve in a wedding. ) I'm just gonna be so happy that I will have him in my arms.
Hope all is well with you ladies. Take care!
