I was also induced and i wasnt dialated at all,only took 5 hours from start to end.Hoping your cervix opened up though.best of luck:-)

They induced me with my first son when I was not dialated at all. I was having signs of pre eclampsia so they went ahead. The put this gel / pill inside you to ripen your cervix....They placed that around 9 at night and by 6 in the morning I was 2 centimeters. Then at 9 in the morning they started the pitocin and it was on :)

So I went for an ultrasound yesterday so they could measure to see how big this baby is going to be. They are saying 8lbs but it can be anywhere from 7 ounces less or 7 ounces more.
Wow.
Doctor wants to induce me on Monday, June 8th. I ended up saying okay? I have to be at the hospital for 6am but I'm thinking about just calling them and telling them I'm not going. I'm terrified. I don't want to have to be induced.
On a more positive note, I was having a lot of cramping and contractions lastnight about 5-10 min. apart so I am hoping they helped my cervix open up.
How the hell are you going to induce me when I'm not even dilated, anyway?
I am going to walk a lot this evening when it cools off and tomorrow as well. Maybe then I will go into labor on my own.
