Because I do not live around family, I get lots of emails. Everyone knows I love jokes and just about anything else that makes me smile.
I nearly fell out of my chair when I read this one, and just had to share the giggle with you guys...
A boss wondered why one of his most valued employees did not show up for work one day. Having an urgent problem with one of his main computers, he dialed the employee's main number and was greeted by a child whispering, "Hello?"
"Is your daddy home?" he asked.
""Yes" answered the small voice.
"May I speak with him?" he asked.
The child answered, "No".
Surprised and wanting to talk to an adult, he asked "Is your mommy home?".
"Yes"
"Can I speak to her?"
Again the small voiced whispered "No".
Hoping there was someone around that he could leave a message with, he said "Is there anyone else there?"
The child answered "A Policeman".
Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, he said "May I speak with him?"
The child whispered "No, he's busy."
"Busy doing what?"
"Talking with Mommy and Daddy and the Fireman".
The boss grew even more worried when he heard a loud noise in the background through the earpiece of the phone.
He asked "What is that noise?".
"A helicopter" the whispering voice answered.
Now, truly apprehensive, the boss demanded, "What is going on there?"
The child said, "The helicopter just landed with the search team".
Alarmed, concerned and frustrated, the boss asked "What are they searching for?".
Still whispering, the the young voice replied with a muffled giggle...
"Me"
