23-7-2008 - Patience

My mood while writing this blog: Happy & Frustrated

Ok... I just got off the phone from the "neurologist office" and can you believe they STILL haven't read Zayden's EEG? I'm not sure what I wanted to hear but at least SOMETHING..... Oh well... The receptionist told me that it will be read by the end of July. I certainly hope so!

I'm done ranting now! LOL!

Good news is..... Zayden has only had one seizure in the past two weeks so I am VERY excited about that.

Zayden is also progressing VERY nicely now. We have increased the calorie intake in his formula to 30 calorie due to his lack of weight gain and I can already tell that he is gaining now! YEA! He is also eating some table food now without choking so we are one step closer.

More good news to report: Zayden is crawling EVERYWHERE and I mean everywhere. He now has the confidence to crawl FAST away from me WHILE laughing the entire time. (Under beds/ tables... etc..) It is hilarious! Saturday morning I went into his room and he was STANDING in his crib for the very first time.

He still has physical therapy once a week and occupational therapy twice a month. Although he is standing he still doesn't appear to have much hip support so he may need to have braces and shoes put on for a short period to assist him in walking.

Oh... his sister has also taught him to shake his head NO at me.... and he also says "cat" now. My daughter is constantly bugging him to say "sissy" or her name but he just laughs at her. That's what she gets for teaching him to shake his head no at me... huh?

I still can't believe my baby is already 13 + months old.

If and when I ever hear anything about the EEG results, I will update everyone on here!
