My mood while writing this blog: aggrivated |
ladies i have a little problem ever since i got pregnant i can not stand my dog (husband dog) he annoys me badly and i want to get rid of him to be honest with you but i cant because my husband loves this dog to death. So i havent because of my husband.. i really dont know what to do i have horrible thoughts about this dog i want too hurt him.. and he jumps on me when i come throught the door and he pushes my belly when im sitting down.... i told my husband that when our son is born the dog is not going to be near our son.. Another problem i have is the dog sleeps in the babys room before it became the babys room and i dont want him in there anymore but we only have a 2 bedroom apartment and if he sleeps in the living room he will go on the couch and thats a big no no... im soo freaking annoyed.... I want to do my sons nursery but i dont want the damn dog in there and the dog is not aloud in my room at all... the baby is going to be in my room for a few months but after that i want him to start sleeping in his own room in his crib... ladies i really dont know what to do im sorry for this blog being so long but i need help please.... i want to cry....

Wednesday, 22 Jul Please dont get rid of the dog :( It isnt his fault he was never trained not to jump on you... its not too late though... you can still work on improving his training... and i agree with the others, just put him in a crate at night. it isnt fair to keep him in there all the time, but dogs actually enjoy having a safe place to sleep at night. I would get the crate now though, so that he gets used to it before baby arrives. He might whine for a few nights, but once he gets used to it, it will be so worth it. Good luck! supaflychick1982 -

Monday, 20 Jul You could try the crate idea. I know a lot of people who put their dogs in crates when necessary, i.e. night time, when company is over, etc. The crates are large enough to give them some room and they have food and water and treats. As long as you or your husband spend time with the dog each day, the dog should adjust to being in a crate when necessary. I have two cats that I love very much that sleep on the bed at night but when the baby arrives the cats will be put in the basement at night. They will have food, water, litter, beds, etc. You have to make adjustments for a baby but you don't necessarilary have to get rid of your pets. As long as pets still know they are loved and their needs are being met, they usually adjust to change i.e. crates, basement, etc. It may take a few days for them to adjust, but they do. normalee -
Sunday, 19 Jul Thats true you could put it in a crate when you go somewhere and also so the can sleep in it at night. it'll have to get use to the crate but it should help you out alot. happyforest -
Sunday, 19 Jul can you get the dog a crate? my dogs are small, but they still sleep in their crate at night and are in it when we aren't home. they actually got used to it and now like it, its their 'security' place. sometimes if im playing with the baby in the floor we put the dogs up or if we are having company. we always have a treat ready and say 'get in your cage" and when they go in we give them the treat. that way they dont think they are getting put up bc they are in trouble. i dont know if this could work for you, but you could give it a try!! loving-wife-and-mother-of3 -
