15-3-2010 - Four Months Old and Two Years Old

My mood while writing this blog: happy

Silas is four months old already and time is passing so quick. He rolled over from his back to his tummy for the first time yesterday. He only did it one time, and hasn't done it today yet. But he will. he's so strong/ i've been watching him for the past week or so thinking it was going to happen he'd be half way there. have his bottom half of his body tummy down but have his face and top half of his body facing the ceiling. he just had to get his arms in the right position. however he never did he just went over them. i don't know how to explain what he did, but i'll say that it was pretty impressive to me.

he's smiling so much now, he's really a very happy baby. very playful and sweet. he giggles and laughs and will smile at anyone who smiles at him. he's very calm and doesn't like to be in places with loud sounds. he's really a homebody. aidan at this age loved to be out. we'd take him to the mall or out for walks and he's just sleep, or look around and then go to sleep. silas gets a bit more aggrivated. he'd rather be home hanging out in the living room with his mommy and daddy and big brother.

Silas is also starting to get interested in his toys a bit more. he lays on the floor and scoots himself around looking at his world around him. he'll grab at them and try to put them in his mouth, or just try to touch them. it happened all of a sudden really, one second he really couldn't have cared less, and the next he wanted to see them real bad.

aidan is getting big too. he's really starting to say more things. it's about time though. he'll try to repeat anything you say... well as long as he feels like it. he can say i love you mommy... or daddy, or meemaw. which i've been practicing with him. he's very affectionate and loving. sometimes out of nowhere comes up and gives me kisses on the back/side of my head and will let me kiss him on his mouth. he gives me hugs most of the time whenever i ask for them.

he's still not eating a whole lot of different foods. no vegetables really. but i try to give him fruit. he's just so picky. but sometimes (however not often) he'll take a bit of whatever i'm eating. he had a bite of my quesadilla this morning and even 2 bites of my scrambled egg. which it's the first time i've ever been successful at getting him to eat eggs. his favorite food right now is probably peanut butter sandwiches. and there aren't a lot of foods he'll feed himself. we went out to eat lunch the other day at a chinese food place and he wouldn't get in the highchair. threw a fit. i think he wanted to sit at a chair like a big boy. however he couldn't sice there wasn't enough room at the table. he really wants to be a big boy.

Aidan's hair is getting SO long. it's super curly and not manageable at all. i need to get some clippers so i can cut the ends off a bit. i don't know how we'd handle a barbor shop. he's got an afro going ontop his head though.
