Does anyone get annoyed when someone likes to voice their opinion on a name that you have picked out? My husband has a name for a boy that he really likes and he told someone about it and they actually told me this morning that we needed to steer him away from that name...and I am thinking who the heck are you to tell me what to do with a name that my husband really likes and I like it too..A lot of people are stuck on us using an a name because of all our names already starting with a's but to tell you the truth I cant find one that really fits that I like...I dont know...I am probably just being irritable and annoyed but I just thought I would let out what I was feeling! Thanks for listening!!

I know exactly how you feel! My mother-in-law has hated every name we have named our children and has tried to get us to name the baby something to her liking. It makes me angry, but all I can do is ignore her complaints and demands, seeing she is my husband's mother. I just wish people would let us be when it comes to naming our children.

How annoying! I haven't run into that yet. Everyone has been polite when I say what names we have been thinking. My mom was the only one that had any say . . . when I told her the potential girls name she said "but Corinne (which is her first name and I told her would be the girl's middle name) doesn't sound right with that being the first name". I just had to laugh and tell her that this wasn't all about her! Can I ask was that name was?

No that would annoy me too. Especially since you did not ask for an opinion so one should not have been given. People recently are annoying me telling me that i do care what I have. They ask me what I am hoping for. When I answer a healthy baby they are like Now tell me for real. I repeat myself and they look at me like I have 2 heads or something. If I was hoping for a particular gender why would I tell just any ol body anyway?
