Today was my second doctor’s appointment. I was even more nervous than my first appointment and I don’t know why. I guess once you know your pregnant you just want to know everything is going good and the baby is doing fine. The doctor came in and told me all my tests came back excellent and told me about some of the things I should avoid (like people with measles) and some of the tests and shots I would have to do. I have negative type blood so she explained that to me, even though I already knew because my mom went through it. Then came the part where I got to listen to the heart beat and NOTHING...

The doctor explained that she was not surprised by this, that the baby was probably hiding. And honestly I wasn’t too nervous because I already know that this baby is a stinker hehe. The doctor said that she would do an ultra sound for me to ease my mind because I told her that she was probably right but if I left not hearing it I would be nervous thinking about it later. So after sitting in the waiting room for about 15 minutes she came out to walk me over.

I got to see my baby again!!!!! And the heart beat of course!!! Its little legs were all stretched out and you could see its little feet and toes so well. It was squirming like a little worm it was so cute!!! I couldn’t see its arms because it was lying on its side and I am guessing it had its arms in front of it. (Its butt was facing us) But the doctor said that it looked good and she doesn’t know how to let me listen to the heart beat or take pictures other wise she would have let me.It was a very very quick ultra sound, of course I wish it was longer but I am just so happy that it looked like a little healthy baby so far!!! I love my little worm so much already!!

Friday May 16th

My doctor’s appointment went well today. I think I was in and out of there in record timing. I had to see a different ob/gyn because my regular one is on vacation but I really didn’t care. She came in and said that everything looked good so far except that my blood pressure was a little high my last appointment so they still need me to do a 24 hour urine sample (dang it). I got to listen to the heart beat which she said sounded good and then they took blood for my AFP test and I was out of there. But here is the exciting news!!!! My normal ob/gyn said that my ultra sound to find out what the baby is wouldn’t be until June 13^th but this ob/gyn made it May 30^th, so 2 weeks earlier so I can not wait!!! I am counting down the days!

Wednesday May 28th

Nothing happened at my OB appointment. They just did a urine sample to make sure there was no blood and then listened to the heart beat. She just said that she was going to add that they look at my placenta when I go in for my ultra sound on Friday and that was it.

Friday May 30th

Today was my BIG U/S!! I was so excited but yet so nervous and I had to pee so bad! We got there and went into the room immediately. She told us that she was going to do measurements first and then she would get to the good stuff. =) The measurements all looked good at least from what I can understand. Everything seemed to measure out good and the baby measured 18 weeks and I am 18 weeks today so I am guessing that is a good thing. The baby looked healthy which is always a relief. She told us that she hadn’t had such a wiggler in awhile because one minute his head was one way and the next it was the complete opposite way. It did not want to stop moving for a minute. She was really fast doing the measurements though. Then she asked if we wanted to know what it was…I managed to say the word yes (I was really excited it was hard to talk without trying to cry) It took her awhile to find a good shot because it didn’t want to sit still and it kept going into weird positions but then there is was…ITS WINKIE!!

SO WE ARE HAVING A BOY!!!

And for sure it is a boy haha!!! We are so beyond happy to be expecting a boy! David couldn’t have been happier in that moment; he immediately started to text people. The shots we got of the baby are not that good but I am so in love with my handsome man already! I am even more excited to meet him!!

Friday June 13th

Everything is good!!! All my tests results came back normal. She said my U/S showed everything was fine and that my little man seemed healthy!!! My blood pressure was high when I first came in so they made me lay on my left side for awhile and took it agian and then it was fine. So they want me to check my blood pressure whenever I am someplace like target where thay have those machines. I am just happy everything came back all normal!!!

Friday July 11th

Yet another appointment down. I have gained 5lbs since my last appointment which I suppose isn't bad. Same old stuff, except this time my doctor brought in a soon to be newby doctor. This was the first time I was measured which was exciting but they didnt tell me what it was. The newby was having a hard time with finding the heart beat because everytime he would find it my baby would move to the other side. It was kind of funny seeing him try to get my little man not to move. My doctor ended up having to do it. I asked her if she got my message about me bleeding and she said no but one of the other doctors must have thought it wasn't a big deal and she didn't seem like it was a big deal. She just said I should be fine since I have already got my shot. She then told me that at my next appointment I will need to get another shot and I will also be doing my glucose test. Then I was out of there. I am still mad that she doesn't think me bleeding is a big deal. She acts like I am spotting but in reality I could fill up a pad or two. Grr doctors!!

Friday August 8th

Well I got my glucose test out of the way and my rhogam shot done and over with. I am just happy I have all the out of the way and I just really hope I pass the glucose test so I don’t have to go through it all over again and plus I need my little treats! All and all it was not a bad appointment. I have my next appointment in three weeks.

SORRY BEEN SLACKING ON THE UPDATES BUT NOTHING NEW AND EXCITING HAS HAPPENED AT ANY OF MY APPOINTMENTS.....WILL UPDATE IF ANYTHING DOES HAPPEN!!!
