05-10-2008 - Out of breath.

My mood while writing this blog:
ok

I can't hardly stand to be on my feet for longer than 10-15 minutes, especially if I'm just standing in one place. Standing up for some reason takes my breath away. I get short of breath and have gotten to the point of nearly blacking out, it gets that bad. Then after I get that bad and do sit all I want to do is sleep. I went to church this morning and I tried to stand during all the songs but the first set of songs I finally just couldn't do it anymore and had to sit I was close to the blacking out stage. So I sat then when it came time to stand again I barely made it through the prayer..which wasn't that long and I had to sit again. It was horrible, I hate that feeling. Then when I got home all I wanted to do was sleep so I finally took a nap and felt better when I got up as long as I didn't stand for long. I personally think this is way tooo early in the game to be feeling that bad. Then periodically I have some Braxton Hix contractions too. They aren't that bad just like mentral cramps but they are definitely there. I didn't have those with my first son that I was aware of. And my legs are already swelling a little bit, but I go back to the Dr Tuesday for my Glucose test...I have got to write a list down of things I need to remember to talk to her about :). Any one else having the breathing problems already?

I'd be concered about your sugar (which can lead to bigger baby, ergo you are experiencing some of the joys and not so joys sooner), also your blood pressure which can be elevated by the sugar, mine went sky high last week because i od'd on sugar one day, felt horrible...as far as braxton hicks, i am 24 weeks and i feel crampy here and there but i think its just more stretching than actual contractions although they do say you can experience them this early...i can't tell the difference with anything, i think i feel the baby move and i wait a few minutes if i pass gas, well it was gas, if not then i say oh wow the baby moved, i did have my husband talk into my belly button yesterday cause i hadn't felt her move yet that day and she started her fluttering around and then did not stop until i went to bed, i felt guilty for waking her up but i like to know she's there! talk to your doctor i am sure all is okay, just be careful with the sugar it can wreck havoc!

Have you had your iron levels checked recently? Anemia can cause dizziness & fatigue. Make sure you add that to your list of ?'s for the doc.

Plus things have been a little stressful for you lately so take it easy. =)
