20-2-2009 - 1 month check up

My mood while writing this blog:

Well I had my 1 month check up today. I went in expecting a internal exam to check my cervix make sure it's closed, check the episiotomy (sp?) make sure it's healed and stitches are desolved and to check breast to make sure there is nothing unusual since I'm breast feeding. He did none of that. He asked me how everything was going and I said good and he talked about the possible birth control stuff since I'm breast feeding and that was it. End of visit. See me back in June for my yearly exam. And he actually didn't even tell me I was free to return to all normal activities. But how would he know if it is okay to return to normal activities if he didn't check everything out?? I was very shocked when he said see you in June. Not that I have any normal activities to return to since I'm single now but still I would like to have known everything was back to normal. Oh and the birth control he said he could put me on has progesterone only and no estrogen since I'm breast feeding but for now him and I decided I would wait to see if I needed it later. I haven't taken birth control in 10 years and I'm not ready to start now especially since I'm single and not doing anything and breast feeding. He said I probably wont be ovulating anyway....but I know never trust that.

Hmm... I guess I'm expecting the full tour down south when I go in next week... But I can't remember from last time anyway?

I am not looking forward to getting back in the saddle anyway. I feel completely over stimulated with breast feeding. But DH has other ideas...

hi adnorel...i understand your worries, however am not a fun of being checked down there. the first time someone put their fingers down there is when i was in labour and in so much pain that i would care less as long as they said i was dilated enough to push lol..i dreaded those checks throughout the pregnancy and my wishes were granted. i even did the strep-b swab myself. i won't be disappointed if my doc says see you in june, however i will be silently wishing all is fine.
