My mood while writing this blog: beyond happy

My water broke at 5pm, on September 28th. Due to me being pos for Group B Strep I had to go right in to the hospital to get hooked up to antibiotics. Around 11pm they started the Pitocin drip. By 3am the contractions were unbearable!!! I was in the tub a couple times to ease the pain, and they gave me morphine because it was too early for an Epi....the morphine did nothing!!! They saw how much pain I was in so they gave me the epidural around 5:30 am which was a god send!! I finally got to catch a couple hours sleep and the pain subsided. Around 2:00pm I was 10 cm diated but felt no pressure to push. So pushing started at 5pm and she was born at 6:04pm. She is amazing! 8lbs, 1.5 oz and just under 20". Labor was aweful...much worse than I expected, but she made it all worth it!

Our birth stories are very similar...Congrats and it is much worse then expected huh .
