My mood while writing this blog: Smokin Hot!!!!! |
So last week the president of our small company changed the work hours from 8:30-5:30 M-F to 8:30-6:30 M-W-Th and 8:30-5:30 T-F. I told him specifically that I had to leave early some days to pick my son up from daycare. He said that I would have to discuss that with the people in my department which I have done before I enrolled him. Well today being Monday I had arranged for my son's Grandmother to come and pick him up. At lunch she called and said that she had to work late and wouldn't not be able to get him. I came back to work and told my dept. head. She started shaking her head and said you are going to have to start making some type of arrangements for your son, because we can't have you to keep leaving early. She said it is one thing to leave at 5 when we closed at 5:30, but now that we have to close at 6:30 it is a different story. I said I only have one car between his father and I, and I had made arrangements they fell through, that is why I am coming to you. She said that the Corporate Secretary was pissed cause I left early last week. I will be damn she got mad. She strolls in to work at 9:45 and leaves early almost everyday. She can kiss my butt! And another thing she was in the meeting I had with the president. Well she was there physically, mentally her old butt probably was somewhere else. They fail to realize that when I had initially put my son in daycare our hours were normal. The day care does not revolve around my work schedule. It is so frustrating working there, cause one minute people are smiling in your face, and the next talking behind your back. My son comes first! I am so ready to look for a new job! Thanks for letting me vent!

Monday, 22 Jun Haha, this sounds so much like me with my job, although I don't have any children (yet) and I don't have to leave early, but they're the same way. They'll do one thing themselves then quarrel when you need to do it. Smiling one minute than talking about you like crazy! I know just what you mean!
