My mood while writing this blog: Happy |
I have just come back from my 2 week (much needed) vacation from staying with my mom. I had a pretty good time. I think that during pregnancy it is always good to spend time with ones mother. Anywhoo...That is the reason I went to a 25 week appt instead of my on scheduled 24 weeks. Well everything looked really good her heartbeat was 154 bpm and I measured 26 cm. It was a rather quick appointment. I guess cause we are in a time where there is really nothing to do if the baby is healthy. I am on the borderline of reaching 200 pounds...I am 199. They have never told me how much I have gained, but I think it is between 10-15 pounds so far. The doctor asked me if I wanted the h1n1 and I declined and then she asked me why and I said that I felt like it has been a rushed job of getting the vaccine. She told me that the science was already there and proceeded to tell me that since I am in my 2nd trimester I have 2x's the risk of getting it and being hospitalized and on ventilation and then next trimester it goes up to 6x's. She also was trying to tell me about her daughter just having the normal seasonal flu and how she felt. I am thinking the whole time thanks for the info, but I have already had the seasonal flu and I understand but no thanks. I felt like she was being a tad pushy, but I understand that it was her job. Well ladies my next appointment is Nov 11 for the dreaded Glucose testing! Ughhh!

Monday, 2 Nov Ya good luck with the glucose test. It didn't actually taste that bad. Kind of like warm, watered down, uncarbonated orange soda lol. Not the best obviously but certainly not undoable. I wish it was cold. It would've made it a little easier. And I wish you had more than 3 minutes to drink it! That's so fast. Glad to hear that everything is ok with your little girl :)
