Well here goes: Last night I got a phone call from my maternity centre and they left a mesaage saying that they needed to speak to me about my ultrasound results from the 17th. Obviously I was worried but it was late by the time I got the messsage so I called them first thing this morning. They told me that my amniotic fluid was low and they booked me for another ultrasound on the 22nd. They also said that if the fluid was still low or getting lower then they would send me for a NST (non-stress test) on Tuesday the 23rd. So I had a doctors appointment this morning at 11am. I got there and they said the baby is growing right on schedule and we heard his heart beat and it is still nice and strong. The doctor said that from the ultrasound they measured him at just under 8 pounds. Then they were trying to determine if I should do the NST today or wait. They decided it would be better to do it today so right from the doctors I had to head over to the labour and delivery ward at the hospital.

I did the NST and everything came back fine, then they were trying to decide if they should induce me or not. They were worried because of how fast my daughter was born, the low amniotic fluid, and the pains I've been having. The doctor checked my cervix and said I am just under 2 cm dialated but my cervix is still long. She said she tried to stretch out my cervix and they decided not to induce me and to send me home to let things progress on their own. I was kind of relieved that I wasn't being induced but once again it was kind of a let down that I was leaving the hospital again without a baby. I got home and there was some blood and stuff so we called my on call doctor and she said if there was any more or anything changes to not hesitate to call back. She said that there was only blood because she stretched my cervix. She said it is a good sign that my cervix took to being stretched and I could go into labour in the next few days. If not then everything is still fine and that things will go there own way.
