14-6-2008 - Bed Rest

My mood while writing this blog: Worried

So I ahd to go to the ER yesterday because I started to have heavy bright red bleeding and cramping, after 2 hours waiting at one ER I was told there were still 9 people ahead of me.Glenn got so mad that he took me to another ER and they put me on as a rush and I had an ultrasound which said my placenta was in the right spot and baby was fine. Then the check my cervix and said it was fine. Then she told me I had what is called a threated miscarriage and that there is a possibility I could lose the baby in the next couple of days. I am worried about our little girl in there and hoping that it was justa fluke but I am on bed rest until I get ahold of my OB on monday and see when I can get in. My back is killing me from laying down so much I had to sneek away but I have to sneek back before I am caught out of bed. I hope everything is going to be ok.

I am so sorry to hear that. I wish you the best. I was on bed rest for 3 weeks. I started to bleed and they said everything was fine. They were not sure where the blood even came from. My doctor met me at the hospital and said, with all of the bleeding it would have been a miscarriage. But I had no cramping. It was the worst on bed rest. I was even nervous to lay on my side. The best advice I can give you is just to stay relaxed and keep your feet up. Feel better.

Good luck to you...I hope everything is fine! Something similar happened to me in my 7th week and it turned out I just strained too hard at work. But they did the same thing...give me papers preparing me for miscarriage and sent me on my way terrified. Congratulations on your pregnancy and my hopes and prayers are with you.
