| 11-8-2009 - Week 2 of Diet | My mood while writing this blog:Good |
Okay, so I decided to weigh myself this morning and was pleasantly surprised. I lost 3 pounds! I think what is hard is that I don't lose weight as easily now as I did in my 20's. I keep expecting it to just drop quickly but it takes alot more effort now! I am happy though. I worked out every day but Sunday. I was really sore form a big workout Saturday and decided tolet my body recuperate a bit. I only cheated once. My best friend is getting married and she and I went to this bridal show and there were a lot of cake vendors around and she wanted me to help her taste. I had a few bits and to behonest, the first one was fantastic but after that I felt sick. I guess it does not take long for sugar to leave the system and for the system to reject it becasue I really didn't feel good and didn't want more...which is NOT like me! I love sweets! Anyways, I plan to post a new PP picture this Friday. I'm not sure I will see any results just yet but I am not quitting. I feel better with the exception of yesterday, I felt nauseated after my workout. After hearing form some of you I guess maybe I just over did it a bit. I must say though, I feel stronger already and it's not been two weeks yet. Its nice to feel some strength back in my stomach muscles again...it's been so long! :) I need snacking tips. I get a low blood sugar later in the afternoon. I need something quick/easy because sometimes my blood sugar has dropped before I notice it and then I am just wanting to grab the first thing in sight and THAT is dangerous when trying to eat healthy. Overall I am feeling much more positive and to be honest, I am happier abou thtat than anything else. It's nice to feel my confidence coming back and to be doing somehting for MYSELF.
I am not really followig any certain diet. I just eat as balanced as possible, all whole grain, no sugar and exercise...my goal is to amp up my workouts and not ot be too hard on myself for only getting in30-45 minutes a day for now. It's It's better than doing nothing! I am grateful to all my friends for their support here. It's also helping to know I'll have to post pictures every two weeks!
