21-8-2008 - I Got an A+

My mood while writing this blog: fantastic

So I went in for my glucose test yesterday. I chose the orange-flavored drink, and it didn't taste bad at all. It did burn my throat a little as it went down, though. After my blood was taken, I didn't have to wait for the results at all. The nurse tested it right away, and I passed. I'm so relieved! I don't know how I'd deal with gestational diabetes. She also said my iron levels looked good. No more bloodwork until baby girl comes!

I ended up seeing a different doctor at my appointment, because my primary one was on vacation. Must be nice! She found the heartbeat right away, and she said my measurements are right on target. When I was weighed, I discovered I've gained around 18 pounds so far. Considering I'm "supposed" to gain only 25 according to my doctor, I'm slightly worried. I guess I need to be more active instead of sitting on my bum all day. The doctor didn't say anything about my weight, though.

I was given a chart to track baby girl's movements. She is such an active little booger, so I'll have no trouble with that task!

I'm just so thankful to my Heavenly Father that everything is going smoothly. My husband and I are truly blessed!
