21-1-2011 - 28 week check-up

Hey Ladies!

Happy Friiiiiiiday!!!!! Hope you've got good weekends planned!!

I had my 28 week check-up with the midwife and 1 hour glucose test.

Everything was fine with the midwife, I guessed the position of the baby and told her before she checked and I was right! Baby is head down and it's is back laying along my left side, it's legs kick me anywhere along my right side and up to my ribs depending on where it's little leggies are floating around (ooooh as I write this baby has hiccups!! cute!). It's bum sometimes moves along and under my right rib a little bit which makes it slightly more uncomfortable to sit down but I can't help but smile at it.

I spoke with the midwife about a photograph I had within my notes which I was convinced was a little willy. Honestly I really thought it was so I showed the midwife and she said 'Oooh yes it sort of does look like a penis, I'll check with the sonographer' so I told her I didn't care if I knew now because I had it in my head that I had a picture of the babies willy. So anyway I sat out in the waiting room and saw her speak with the sonographer (the same one I had do my 20wk scan) and she laughed and said, 'No, that's not a penis it's the legs'. Then she came over to me and told me that they don't put pictures of the gender in, even when people get told what they're having!! LOL! I am so happy I asked now though because I'm back to not knowing and it's all still a surprise! I mean obviously it could still be a boy but at least I haven't been told and I haven't guessed because of a photograph I got confused about! hehe! This is why I should leave it to the professionals and stop guessing!!

Also my buggy arrived today and I was like a child in a sweet shop! I love it! My parents are coming over tonight for dinner and I cannot wait to show my Mum!!!

Anyway hope you're all ok, I'm just sticking up a 28+3 belly shot :-)
