08-9-2009 - getting bored now annoyedMy mood while writing this blog:
annoyed

Hello!

Well I am feeling pretty annoyed today. This week really.

I had my bloods back and apparently everything is NORMAL!! WTH!! How?! I am CD 76!!!!!!!!!!!! Still no AF. How can they be normal! I ask you!? I have booked in with the doctor again for Monday morning and I am going to tell them I want to be referred to the gynaecologist for a scan. Apparently they can't always tell if you have PCOS from a blood test. At least my thyroid is normal though, so I should be thankful for that I guess!

My spotting has been on/off all week and now it has stopped. I'm hoping it comes back tomorrow! It's so annoying! To be honest it has been so little I haven't even had to wear a panty liner all the time and it's not every time I wipe if you get me without TMI.

I had a second reflexology appointment yesterday and seriously I love it! The area relating to my left ovary was so painful and my uterus was also very painful. She said there is obviously something going on there. I wonder if I should just test again just in case. I don't have any other symptoms but one of my friends thinks it may be a phantom pregnancy- but I'm not having any other symptoms at all!

Anyway I've started taking agnus cactus and vitamin C and something else which the name of escapes me, but it helps with keeping your tubes working properly and free from infections etc.

So anyway I am feeling pretty flat about the whole TTC thing. I just don't know what to do any more, I just feel gutted that my AF has stopped completely. I thought it was bad getting AF every month and no BFP but now I would so much rather take AF with a BFN as at least my body would be working properly.

Good luck ladies, take care x

I also have anovulatory cycles that stretch on and on for huge lengths of time and I do not have PCOS. I do have polycystic ovaries, but my hormone levels are normal and therefore it can not be diagnosed as PCOS. It is just lumped into the illusive "unexplained infertility" category. My RE explained it... Your body produces all the chemicals it is supposed to in the normal way and in the normal amounts. Your hypothalamus in your brain is what tells your body how much estrogen to provide to produce follicles and then your ovaries communicate back when the follicles are "ripe" and then your hypothalamus pumps out the LH surge to make the follicles burst. Well, someone in my situation has a hypothalamus that speaks French but my reproductive organs speak English (his words, not mine). He said that for some reason the message of how much hormone to produce and when gets lost and never gets back to the hypothalamus so it is never produced, so the ovaries just continue having estrogen pumped to them in a steady amount and the follicles never get big enough to burst and even if they did, they can't speak French so the hypothalamus would just be looking at them like "what are you saying?" instead of pumping out the LH to release the follicle... The RE said they don't know WHY this happens in some women, but it does. Maybe you have a similar situation.
