30-6-2008 - mother-in-laws

My mood while writing this blog:

Sometimes my mother-in-law gets on my nerves. We told her yesterday we was putting a wall back up in living room to make our house a 3 bedroom house again so baby could have room. She smarted off and said that was 2 far away from us. Well i actually didnt smart mouth back, but i did say it'd be in our room most of time and that we could put room where ever we wanted b/c it was our house and our baby not hers. Dont get me wrong i like advice, but i cant stand her saying some stuff to me. She is always being bossy saying should be doing this should be doing that. I know what my body is going thru and i know what i can and cant do, trust me i am not going to do anything to put this baby in Danger. Also when we first told her i was pregnant him and his aunt both said this is going to be your last one. Like that is really any of their damn business. I told them Rodney & I will decide if we want another one. They have no right to say that. They havent said anything else bout that. Sorry i just needed to vent little, i really dont know how much longer i can be nice to them without really letting them have it.

My MIL....oh where do i start? we had a really good relationship in the beginning....i dont know what happened...i am from another country so i am here by myself, my husband has 3 kids from another marriage whom i love to death..but MIL...she is always trying to tell me what to do...i am alot younger than husband too which doesnt help...i thought that i would be as respectful as possible since my mother and family is so far away....when she found out i was pregnant with my daughter she told my husband....how are we going to afford it....i didnt say anything about it...i invited her to the dr's appntmtns when hubby couldnt make it and she could never come....i even invited her and my SIL in the labour room...trying to form a bond you know....to this day she will only visit my daughter when the other kids are here (which is every other w/end) its like she doesnt want to come any other time....then when she found out im pregnant again (i told her) she asked me what am i going to do!!! can you believe it!!! umm...im going to have this baby like all other famlies???? how can you say that to someone who is pregnant? she hasnt asked how i am or how the baby is doing and im 16 weeks tomo!! she aggravates me to no end, and i stll treat her with the utmost respect......hope your situation is better

My MIL is like that. My father in law is werse though if you can imagine. There are so many ways you can keep baby nice and safe ignore her and you can vent to me ANYTIME!!!

I know what you are going through. My MIL talks with out thinking...It drives me crazy! At least you were able to tell her how you feel. Good luck.

My MIL is like that too. She treats me like I'm a foreigner to earth! I often feel like she thinks Im 5 years old. And she thinks that her way is the only way and thus the ''right way'' but we have all learned that her way is the old fashioned way. I feel for you!

I know how you feel and then when your pregnant it really gets to you....So go ahead and Vent if you have to it helps alot ...........
