01-7-2008 - Karate Kid (18w3d)

My mood while writing this blog: Excited

I had a rough night trying to sleep. That's been becoming more and more common. I remember that happening around 16 weeks with my last pregnancy, this time around it waited until later. I guess it doesn't help that I'm getting up 2-3 times a night to pee, but it's all okay.

So last night, I got up around 12:50 to pee (the first trip) and DH was snoring...LOUDLY. I briefly thought about going out on the couch for a while, but decided against it. It's not like I have to work or anything and I know he'd rather have me in bed. He misses me when I'm out there :)

So after standing there looking at the bed trying to make my decision, I finally laid back down and covered up. I rested my arms around my belly and was thinking about the baby. Next thing I know I got this HUGE kick that actually moved my arm! That's the first movement I've felt from the outside. It was SO exciting!!

I told Jason this morning and he got all excited too, because that means that maybe soon he'll get kicked in the head LOL

18 weeks doesn't seem that far along, but when you think that I'm five months pregnant (in my fifth month)...well...that seems like I'm almost there!
