27-4-2009 - crazy weekend

My mood while writing this blog: i dunno

so, my weekend was pretty crazy. my husband and i were headed up to las vegas, nv from southern california. we drove my little 2007 toyota yaris to save on gas and half way there, in barstow, i was just starting to dose off when i felt my hubby slam on the breaks. next thing i know, both airbags are going off and the windshield is cracked and we are half way into the suv in front of us. so, basically my car is totalled. we're just waiting to hear back from our insurance. it's been a mess. i had to go to the emergancy room to check on the baby. i was really worried! so, we had an emergency ultrasound done and seeing the baby in the screen made all my other worries go away. the baby was measuring a little big again, i was 11weeks 3 days and the baby was measuring 12 weeks. the baby's heart rate was 164. so do you think it'd a girl?? anyways, we saw the baby clear as day and it was moving around and everything. so amazing! i'll post a picture soon!!!

OMG im so happy your okay, this really can be scary when pregnant. Tell your husband not to drive faster than your guardian angel can fly, he he. Try no to stress about the car situation, no stress is good for baby, everything will work out the way it's suppose too.

omg hun glad you guys are okay!!! glad to hear that the baby is doing well too!! take it easy hopefully the insurence pays for the damage. I look forward to seeing the pic

Wow, I have always had that fear of sleeping when someone else is driving, I always think I should watch just incase they lose concentration!
