05-6-2009 - maternity clothes

My mood while writing this blog:
happy and hungry!

last night, my MIL took my husband and i out to dinner (olive garden yum) and then she asked if i’d like to get a maternity outfit. of course i said yes! haha so we went to motherhood, the maternity store and i tried on a bunch of clothes. i wasn’t sure how much she was going to get me so i tried to get sale items, more bang for your buck! well she ended up buying me a bunch of stuff. she got me a cute white tank top that has lace and stuff on it (my hubby picked it), some cute khaki capris with the secret fit belly (super comfortable), a cute black sweater and white/black/red printed dress (hubby picked that too). it was like, $60+ worth of clothes! i totally wasn’t expecting that much. so, now i have a cute little maternity wardrobe yay!!

Awe, I am so jealous!! I am trying to make my pre-preg clothes fit for as long as possible but the rubber band won't work much longer for my jeans. LOL

Lucky you! Xra skinny maternity clothes are super expensive and hard to find for me so I'm having to make due with the possibilty that my clothes wont fit...... (I'm really petite) So far I found a good investment though Its called the Bella Band and it looks like a cami under your shirt....but it allows you to wear your prepregnancy clothes for longer. You dont zip your pants or button them, the band goes over and it smooths it out and keeps your pants up. Its all I'm going to get if I don't end up with a huge belly.

oh yay, i just got mine i ordered online from burlington.com in the mail and after trying them all on realized how amazingly comfy they are and made me wonder why i was squeezing into my regular pants everyday!!! yay I'm glad you got some new stuff!!!

oh thats great. I remember the feeling i got when my grandmother in law took me maternity shopping. I did the same thing, tried to get stuff on the sale rack. And she ended up spending around the same amount. I was so thankful because i really needed stuff that fit. TO thank her, why don't you send her a nice card or something really sweet you can think of. When you show people you apperiate the things they do for you, they are more likey to do them more often! Which is always GREAT!!!! You should post a few pics of you and you baby bump in the new clothes
