My mood while writing this blog: okie doke |
so i'm home from my doctor's appointment and things went good... i only gained 1 pound from my last appointment. so i'm 8lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight. my AFP test results came back normal whoo hoo! the doctor did an ultrasound and he looked so big already!!! baby is measuring just right and the doc went to check in between the legs (the doctor's u/s machine is super old and totally NOT clear lol) and at first the doctor says, i don't see anything down there... i was like, what??? it's a girl?? then he shook my tummy a bit and there it was, his testies and penis. wheew... had me scared for a bit! haha so, i go back in 4 weeks but i'm debating about changing doctors... he's nice but not very informative. would it be a bad idea to switch? what do you ladies think??

Tuesday, 30 Jun If you have insurance like Kaiser where you can't choose then I wouldn't suggest it, but if you have the freedom to meet doctors and choose yourself, then go for it! Cute baby bump by the way!! excitedmisty -
Tuesday, 30 Jun If you are thinking about switching I would! I wasn't thrilled with my doctor...so I switched to a practice that has midwives and doctors and I am so thrilled. The midwife I saw the other day was AMAZING, so nice, sat and talked to me, answered all my questions. I switched because the last doctor when I asked him a question about nutrition he handed me a piece of paper and left the room. Find someone you really like...it makes the pregnancy experience all the better! BabySaunders -
Monday, 29 Jun If you feel you're not getting the attention you want I'd switch. I'm switching. My current OB is completely oblivious to everything. He sits there and talks to himself while he's using the ultrasound machine. Like "Ok...change probe..." I'm like "You know I can hear you right?" He sounds so dumb. I can't wait to go to my new OB! Good luck! Glad to hear everything is running smoothly so far :) lindseymarie -
Monday, 29 Jun I have the same problem with my doctor, he is nice but I dont even think he knows my name and at my last apointment he thought I was 15!!!! I was like umm no im 20, like he dosnt know anything about me and since i have placenta previa I want a doctor that takes the time to get to know me and my situation. I dont think its a bad idea to switch, I think you should have a doctor you love and lets you know whats going on!
