| 31-7-2009 - Anyone with a 12 month old climbing out of their crib? |
My mood while writing this blog: scared |
I'm not sure what's next for us. Aneila climbed out of her crib and fell on the floor. I thought she was fine but upon further investigation she has a huge knot on her forehead and its already turning black and blue. She did try this 3 months ago but didn't make it. She hasn't tried since, until this morning. I heard a thump and there she was on the floor crying. so now what? I can't possibly put her in a toddler bed she doens't sleep well at night it would be a total nightmare and all i would do is worry about what she is doing in there. I used to have a mattress on the floor in front of her crib then i moved it cause she wasn't trying anymore. I can put that back but is there anything more i can do?

Thursday, 22 Oct Yeah, my lil munky was climbing out of his crib around that time- so to be safe we went ahead and put in in a toddler bed around 14 monthes. Good luck I know it is scary about them falling or walking around at night. They do make those sort of like tent cover things that act as a sheild over the top of the crib- but they kind of freaked me out. Mommywonder -
Tuesday, 11 Aug Angelo (12 mos) has tried to climb out of his crib, but he hasn't made it yet. I KNOW it's coming soon though and I'm terrified! I've been asking the same Q's as you to my friends and family with older children and they don't seem to remember squat..real good help, eh? LOL I'm sorry to hear your little girl fell out. I'm just glad she's doing ok. mom22to2boys -
Friday, 31 Jul I had the same problem with Jakkoby he started crawling out of his bed at 12 months so by 13 1/2 months I said allright enough of this and put him in the bottom bunk of my four year olds bunk bed with my older son on top and to make it safe I got two guard rails for the mattress and stuck them on both sides .....I must admit it takes patience and she will get out of bed lots at first but I reccommend doing the transistion from crib to bed as soon as you can she is no longer safe in the crib and its better to get the exhausting put them back into their bed four times a night now before you are very very pregnant or having to get up with newborn baby at the same time kwim? thus equalling less sleep.:(
I wish you the best of luck hun with whatever you decide.. babymoma08 -
