01-1-2010 - tongue tied

My mood while writing this blog: happy

Carrigan was tongue tied when she was born.I guess its when that line of skin from the bottom of your mouth connects to the tip of the tongue! They didn't notice at the hospital( they should have ) but she was nursing fine so we never noticed until after we left the hospital.Anyway at her 2 wk checkup her pediatrician said it needs to be clipped.....ouch....!!!! So Dec 10th we took her to an ent and she clipped it!No numbing or anything! I couldn't watch! Amazingly she was sooooo good barely cried and really didn't bleed! She even nursed better! It was so cute though .....that night she discovered she could finally stick her tongue out farther than her lips!!!.Check out my pics I took a pic before the clipping!

I cannot believe its 2010! Ten years ago this very day I was preggo with MY FIRST!!!! I was in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl so excited to meet my baby girl Meaghan! Now she will be 10 in March, goodness time really does fly!!!Last night we went to dinner and a movie, wow times have changed since the days of really partying it up all night with way too much to drink!Alot of my friends on FB still can describe a night of heavy drinking and bar/club hopping(these would be friends with no kids or 1 kid or grown kids)! Next year if Carrigan is willing to stay the night with grandparents I would like to have a quiet dinner with hubby and maybe spend the night just us two somewhere fun!As for my for my friends who had an all nighter last night I soooooo do not envy the way they feel today!!That is when I realize how MUCH time has changed! Partying at clubs has really lost its appeal!!
