My mood while writing this blog: undecided |
Ok so I had my 6 wk checkup yesterday although it has been 8 weeks since she has been born. I had to have a lovely pap done along with the dreaded talk of birth control! So Im nursing and I need to take something that is Progestin sp? only.... then he throws out this method called the Essure, it is a tubal ligation procedure but just done differently. They go up through your private (btw you are under a local) and insert some instrument in both fallopian tubes,it sits there for three months and the tissue from your tubes grows into,on and around this thin instrument basically blocking the tube completely. In 3-4 months you go back and under a local again they insert this dye into your cervix and do an xray and confirm if any of the dye makes it past the fully grown in tissue.Catch is from the time of the first procedure to the second one you really have to have a pretty safe bet on another type of birthcontrol. If you have heard of this or know anyone who has had this let me know, Im considering doing this.I googled Essure and it gives alot of great info on it,pos and negatives. The only question I have for my Dr which I will ask when they call back today is what happens when the tissue is not fully grown , I guess you have to wait and come back and do it again? Probably so, that kinda sucks!Thing is there is no cutting and recovery time is literally hours, and very little pain!Wow, sounds great but would like to hear from someone who has had this done, ya know! Also it is absolutely not reversible so if I do not want any more kids this is it!!!I have this conversation with my self a million times, yes I love being preggo,I could do it again and again, but Im not sure I ,me, we(my hubs and I ),our marriage could do it! I mean 4 kids is more than most , they are all healthy, now its time to move on enjoy them and focus or atleast try to get used to the idea this is my family lets move on and be happy for what I have and quit thinking about the what ifs or wouldn't it be neat to have another boy?(all thoughts that go through my crazy brain!)I felt bad because the other day my son(7yr old) told me he needed to have a list of all of the streets in our neighborhood,I said ok! Sooo yesterday he looked at me in this mad face and said"All because of you I didn't get my streets turned in!" Honestly that just broke my heart, I thought what the heck am I doing that is so busy I cant help him with that, I do feel I have neglected some of their school stuff latley! Ok so here I babble, I guess my point is I would love another but I have to tend to the ones I have and help them , if I keep on having babies my family may come to resent me one day! I know its time to get this done, actually enjoy sex without worrying every month about preg ,and enjoy life esp my kids and family!

Monday, 18 Jan four is quite enough for me.my little boy is a joy, but babies are a lot of responsibility also and they grow out of being babies and need us in different ways. our older ones need us also. there is such happiness in older children and watching them grow.as i am breastfeeding exclusively, i'm using a progesterone only mini pill for now. my doctor recommends this as depo can affect quality and quantity of breastmilk in some women. mom2bof4 -
Sunday, 17 Jan Well my last and fourth was definitely my last... I got my tubes tied...I have such a huge span between mine that the older ones are able to help out...long story short I did the depo for 11 years IUD for 1 year....removed it to get pregnant with my newest addition...so what I am saying is weigh your options and be 100% certain...I was. Best of luck too you. NinaBo-Bina -
Friday, 15 Jan I'm just partial to the good ole Depo shots. Was on them for 3 years and stopped my period as well. Str8 As -
Friday, 15 Jan Hey momma!! I had my check up this week too. Although I am not a fan of BC, I decided to do the depo shot for now and eventually will do mirena. I just can't see myself closing the shop permenantly. Something to consider maybe? Hope it all works out for you hun!
