14-7-2008 - Induction Set

My mood while writing this blog: very very sad.

Although I am extremely excited to meet my little one in a few days, I am not happy about an induction. I pray that something happens between now and wednesday morning that will make my body cross over and go into natural labor. I guess what everyone was trying to say was right, you can't always get what you want, and things don't always go as planned. I wanted to believe my body would know what to do, but sadly so far something is preventing my little one from entering on her own. Today I have an appt with my midwife, I will be asking if a sweep would be beneficial at all, I mean can it hurt to try something other than meds beforehand? I just hate thinking that someone else has control over forcing my child from my body, but I guess whatever is the "safest". they don't like to leave our little ones in more than two weeks past due date in fear of bad things happening... Let's just hope all my preperations with contractions for over 20 days helps in some way, I think my uterus may win a strong man competition. It has to be the strongest muscle in my body right now, I feel so weak and tired. Ok enough moaning, I'm off in a bit... please pray or keep me in your thoughts, Its greatly appreciated. Sending prayers your way that all goes well and sooner than Wednesday. I was scheduled to have an u/s on Wed, July 2 to determine how big Andrew was getting and if they would have to do a c-section. Turns out, I went into labor in the early morning hours and delivered later that day, without having to have a c-section. So it just may happen for you as well. Take good care of yourself.

I will def. keep you in my thoughts and prayers i know you have to be so uncomfortable and unhappy right now. But just think in a few days you will get to hold your precious little angel in your arms and it will be all over... Good luck and i hope all goes well for you be sure to let us know when you have your babygirl..... =-)
