| 05-10-2009 - Just a lil update | My mood while writing this blog:Lovin life!!! |
I just thought that I would give you all an update on my kids. Mason is now 7 months old (WOW!) and is doing great! He seems bigger than othe babies his size, but I'm not worried about that since the doctors aren't. When I had him to the doctor about 2 weeks ago, he was 20 lbs, so I'm sure he's more now...I take him into WIC on Friday, so we'll see. I'm sure they're going to freak out on me because of it, but OH WELL! Tell me if I'm doing something wrong here...here's the schedule he's on .. he wakes up between 6-7, has a 6 oz bottle with 4 scoops of cereal (formula scooper size...all because of acid reflux) - I have the cereal in an old formula can...makes it easier. He goes down for a nap between 8-9 for about an hour, he will then get a stage 2 fruit (sometimes mixed with cereal if it's thinner, but just a scoop and a half), then most of the time he wants another bottle after that and will go down about 11-12 for about 2-3 hours. He of course 'thinks' he's starving and needs a bottle when he wakes up. I give him a stage 2 veggie mixed with 2 scoops of cereal for dinner around 5-6. He gets his bath after that and then between 7-8 he gets another 6 oz bottle. He'll go down for the night somewhere between 8-9 and usually that's it
He has 4 teeth now and they're sharper than anything...LOL He is finally rolling over...just from back to tummy over his left arm, but hey it's a start...right??? He is such a happy smiley baby...most of the time. When he gets pissed, he gets pissed. LOL
Over all…he’s doing great and I couldn’t be any happier…
My daughter on the other hand is starting to REALLY push my buttons. She will be 9 next month, but acts like she’s 16! I had her in the doctors for a ‘behavioral’ appt and her doctor said she had like 3-4 strains of ADHD, but didn’t feel comfortable treating her without knowing for sure what exactly she has so referred us to a child psychiatrist. I have to call on the 9th to see about scheduling her the appt. She will be seen (if my insurance approves it) by the best in the state at the Children’s Hospital in Seattle. They only thing is, it won’t be a face-to-face appt, it will be via satellite…not sure how I feel about that, but we’ll see how it goes. I’m not kidding you ladies…there are times that I HAVE to go outside because if I punish her for what she’s doing, I’m afraid of the ‘unknown’! Make sense??? She makes me cry quite a bit, but apparently it’s normal to do so when you have a child with ADHD. Thankfully her doctor completely understands what I’m going through because she had a child the same way. Anyway, before they try ANY medications, I’m going to see about changing something in her diet or trying a certain vitamin. I will find out all that at the appt.
Alright, enough for now…I need to get my daughter finished for school. I hope everyone is doing well and staying warm!
