My mood while writing this blog: perplexed

I know this is long and I apologize ahead of time. I'm thinking about who I am going to choose as Julianna's God mom. My bf and I are both choosing one, he chose his aunt who couldn't have kids as a nice gesture and because she is 70 years old. So basically who ever I choose will be the real God mom. I am in-between two of my friends, one is a friend from childhood but I feel like over the years we are not as close and I don't agree with some things she is doing in her life. She is an okay friend overall and seems not to be thinking about her religion or anything like that. My other friend I met in college 4 years ago and we have been very close ever since then. I consider her more close than my childhood friend and in my opinion is a much better friend and is involved in her religion steadily. The obvious choice in my mind is to choose my college friend, but I know that will cause A LOT of drama with my childhood friend. My college friend says to choose whoever I want and will be cool either way. My sister is another person who assumes she will be the God mom. I know I don't want her to be the God mom because we are NOT close at all and most times I see her we end up arguing. We do go to the same church, well she hasn't been in almost a year because she makes up excuses not to go. I don't know who to choose and don't want to feel like I have to choose a certain person to keep them happy and I am NOT going to choose more than one of these 3 people. Any suggestions. Please help, Angie!

I know you wrote this blog some time ago but I myself am having the same trouble and don't know who to choose without hurting feelings.... kelly..Lindsey or Helen?? They are all great people and would do their very best for Jenna. I have already asked my brother and cousin but am really struggling on the third. Why are things so difficult? x

hi Angie... I was in the same situation.. A friend that I've know since age 13, we are both 32 now, and a friend from nursing school, for 5 years now. I chose my newest friend. Basically, my childhood friend doesnt seem to be too interested in my pregnancy (she has a 16 year old son, who is about to have a baby) so it kind of helped me out. And she has 2 god children. My new friend is just as excited about my pregnancy and basically has been there for me the whole time. My childhood friend has never questioned me on the decision...but if she does...im gonna say "but you are my baby's aunt, u dont need to be the godmother!" lol
