I *heart* tattoos. Seriously. LOVE them. Yet, I don't have a single one. Weird, right? My husband has them, and they are quite awesome. So, I'm FINALLY planning my tattoo. However, I have NO IDEA what to get. Of course, I'd like something to means something to me. I was thinking about getting the Celtic Motherhood Knot. Being that I'm quite Irish, I thought it would be fitting. Then at the bottom of the knot put a little red dot for Anna birthstone. Then add more dots for more children I have. I have no idea where to get it, though. I would love to do a sleeve, or a half sleeve. My husband is working on a half sleeve, too. However, I have some awful scarring on my left arm from a terrible car accident in high school... and since the scarring is so irregular in places (I rolled an Explorer and my entire left arm went out the window and we rolled on top of it. I'm quite lucky I can still mostly use my left arm.) and so I don't know how well the tattoos would turn out. Of course, there is always my back. Then I could add more tattoos and make it a back piece. That would be kinda neat. I just know that once I get one, I'll have a hard time stopping. Thats what happened when I got my first piercing. It started with my bellybutton, then tongue, and next thing I knew I was up to 13 piercings! Anywho, I was also thinking of getting a sun (because Anna's nickname is Little Sunshine) or... I don't know. I am totally up to suggestions. I am NOT getting her name or her footprints... so as much as I appreciate those suggestions, its just not my style. I also am not getting a wrist tattoo. Anything else, totally tell me what you think!

I have 5 :) I had to stop once I got pregnant obviously...so I've been DYING to get more ink for the past 8 1/2 months!!
It's not as painful as people saying...if it's something you're into you'll be so amazed by the whole expierence you won't notice the pain. Plus if you can handle child birth, you can handle a tattoo lol However I don't know that I'd recommend a tattoo on the stomach....I almost blacked out on that one haha My artist waited until AFTER I had gotten it to inform be in his opinion stomach tattoos we're the most painful.

at first i read your post as -good taco goodness. guess i'm hungry or maybe i better put on my glasses...anyway, i loooooooooove the idea of the celtic motherhood knot..i had to google a pic, ofcourse.. i love love it!!!

I love the idea of the motherhood knot with a red dot for anna's birthstone. I also love how u thought about doing a sun because of her nickname. I love tats as well. I have 1 on my wrist, 1 on each arm, 1 on my lower back, and 1 on my left calf muscle. I plan on getting more to. THey are so addictive and so are piercings. I have 11 of them myself. If i think of anything i will let u know. I do alot of tattoo drawings for people so I do get some good ideas.

I can't think of any suggestions but the Motherhood Knot sounds AWESOME!!! Being as you're Irish and all I think it would be perfectly fitting. Maybe you could get it on your shoulder blade where your heart would be? I would say on the chest over your heart, but I'm just not for those. I would hate for myself to get one there and then have saggy boobs! lol I'll think hard about any other tattoos, but I really like the idea of the knot for you!!
