22-11-2008 - Dont use Mothercare online !

My mood while writing this blog: pissed off

well the week before last I got my grant the only money I have to buy baby stuff and decided I would go with mothercare online as kiddiecare charged £20 delivery to my area. Not free for me! Anyway....Mothercare had more in stock and didnt want to mess about ordering everywhere.

Ordered last week, rang on sun as the money didnt come out of card and was assure it would as i was eager to get it and they where vague about when it was to be delieverd whih i dont like as you give them money and it seems like trying to get blood outof a stone to get it. They took the money.

worse happened. I got a message on my account while i was keeping an eye on the order to see when it was dispathed saying sometihng about the funds. So I phone them and they tell me my card is denied. Its a pre paid masterard and all that was in it was £300 for them. They took it and I had the proof on my statement online. After much arguing and them trying to again take the money i didnt have as they seemed to want more they said it wasnt authorized.

bull my bank had it pening and authorized and i could see it from my end and they told me it was done. Like the normal way its done.
I phoned and phoned to find out what was happening and they said it worked the second time and i would still get it on the delivery date i was told. So on the date i alled them and they actually had done notihng the card was still declined and thety still had my money and said it was their fault but notihng they could do to help!

i was livid i still am. I didntget anytihng from them and this is over a week later and they still have my money.
So many said they would call back and they didnt, my phone bill has to be sky high calling them.

yesterday i spend 6 hours trying to sort it and all they had to do was call mybank and tell them they cancelled it so i could get my money back except they didnt have the codes they needed which every merchant has when doing credit cad debits and my bank wouldnt allowed the money back to me. They said they had done enough an i was to wait until the money was released back to me .

My bank will take probably weeks to give it back if mothercare dont take it, and they better not take it as its promiced to them and all the ordered had to be canceleed.

no money, no baby stuff and a shred of sanity left. I dont need this now.

my dad has had to step in and lend me the money as i am cracking up over having to wait all this time on that money in the forst place and by the time they sort it i could be having the baby! xmas is in between there also so you can knock off 2 weeks when no one does anything.

bastards all of them. And this has been happening since summer as i found some people online withthe same problems and it took them weeks to sort it. how can they take money off peopel and not deliver nothing! fuck their discounts i just want my stuff.

now have to wait weeks anyway for the money back. worst is its not credit money its my cash, i aint borrowed it from anyone. Well i have to from dad now but he gets it back when i do.

i am taking a trip to the store to get the stuff, so much for convience of the internet and their free delivery which no one seems to get.

Have you tried calling Mastercard? They usually have buyer protection and coverage. Especially if your bank or the store aren't helping.

That so SUCKS tho!!!
