| 15-10-2009 - 22 1/2 weeks | My mood while writing this blog:happy |
Hi Ladies,
Just got back from the doc and the boys are doing great! Baby A is 1 lb. 5 oz and Baby B is 1 lb. 3 oz. Both are INCREDIBLY active. I'll have to go back for ultrasounds every 4 weeks just to check growth, but for now all is well. It is kind of a pain because the hospital is 1 hour from my house (I don't like the hospital near my house - it has a bad reputation) but it was nice to get a sitter and have a few hours to focus on the twins.
The ultrasound tech started laughing at the end of my u/s and was like "your cervix is something else!" I was like "umm what" and she was told me that my cervix is the longest she has ever seen. Then we were laughing and she started calling it the "bionic cervix" the dr. came in and said "heard there's a bionic cervix in here" so she checked it out and agreed. Then they asked if a medical student could come in I said the more the merrier. So they all agreed that my cervix was made to handle 2 or more babies - I told them thanks but this will probably be it!
At the end of the day "wow you have amazing eyes/hair/ intelligence/mothering skills" would have been nice, but I'll have to settle for "wow you have an amazing cervix!"
Hope you're all doing well
