| 26-6-2008 - Week 9 | My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
Trystian saw the doctor for a follow up of his Urgent Care visit. He still has a bit of diahrea but no more throwing up!! The person who took vitals only took weight and it was only because my husband had him allready undressed and laying on the scale, otherwise the lady wouldnt have taken any vitals- no weight, no lenth, no head circumphrence. Anyways, we got a weight but no length. He is weighing in at 11 pounds on the dot!! The doc said he is fine and again to look at dehydration signs and blood in the poop, but otherwise he is fine and should pass in a few weeks time. The other thing was the doc prescribed some diaper rash cream stuff because poor Trystians but is so red. We chang his diaper as soon as he goes poop, but becaues is is pooping so much, his but is so red!! We use A&D ointment, and it's doing ok, but poor thing!
OK, so it's been a few weeks that we have been back now and seen the doc. Trystian has been a bit lethargic since his shots on the 21st. We also started a spell of diahrea. Diahrea kicked in on around Friday night the 22nd. We saw about 10 diahrea diapers in about 12 hours, and at morning feeding he threw up almost all of it while we were just sitting contently looking at eachother and so we called into the Urgent Care center and told the doc. He asked if he had a fever and such, well then he asked if he had his 2 months shots yet... We told him yes, and the Doc said nothing to worry about and it will pass. It's normal with the shots and unless there is blood not to worry. About 3 hours later after that call Urgent Care, we ended up deciding to go in with the last poopy diaper. The diahrea was orangey in color and full of mucus! The technician who took vitals had the experience of seeing this poop first hand! As soon as he took the rectal temperature, out came this blob that Mommy thankfully caught in the diaper very quicly.
The Doc came in and saw him and looked at the poo and said that it was fine even with the mucus. He had his shots and might just have a small virus and it should pass within a week or two. She said look out for dehydration and blood in the poop, but otherwise it's normal.
