| 25-6-2008 - Week 13 | My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
Well, the TB tests were all negative!!! so no TB!!!!! YAY!!! Well, I have gotten Trystian to take his medicine a lil better, and it seems that his food habits are changing! He eats about 6 oz before I go to work, then will wait till I come home for lunch around 11, and eats 3-6 oz. Then he might have the rest of the bottle from lunch -so another 2-4 oz before I get home at 5. Then he will usually eat about 4-6 oz and wait tll bed around 8, when he will eat about 6 oz. He will then eat around 4 oz in the middle of the night. This means he eats around 25-32 oz a day. This just started 3-4 days ago. Before that he was eating anywhere from 26-36 oz, and picking most of the day... 2 oz here, 4 oz there... As long as he continues to grow, that is waht matters!!! He is so fussy today too... I got home for lunch and he didnt want to be with daddy, so I took him like I usually do at lunch... He didnt want me... didnt want food, didnt want his bouncy seat, didnt want his swing etc... I finally got him to eat, and he settled down and stopped crying and coo'd a lil... Then just wanted to be upright and standing. I know he's teething, cuz he would much rather have something in his mouth to knaw on. He likes to chew on his binky more than anything. We have a rasberry teether too, but he can't keep it in his mouth without help, so he loves his binky to chew on.
I made a new baby carrier. It's more of a "moby wrap" type thing. I love it, cuz I can just wear it when he's not in it. I can have him face out or in, or have him on my back when he gets older. You can have your child on your hips too... I love it, and I think I like it better than my sling!!
Ok, so we got a letter in the mail yesterday stating that while we were in Hawaii for Trystian's appointments at the Fisher House, that there was the possibility that we were exposed to TB... fun fun... Well Tony and I had gotten our TB tests done Wednesday as part of outprocessing so we were going to be read anyways today... We got to the immunizations and they read us negative but we asked about testing Trystian since he was there too. The clinic didnt want to test such a young infant. We set up an appointment with the doctor and the doctor walked us over to the immunizations clinic and had them give Trystian the test. Well our lil man has a bunch of marker dots on his arm so that the clinic can tell where the stick was when we go back to read on Monday morning... So we are walking around with a "marked baseball diamond" on our sons arm... oh well I guess, I can't wash it off till after it's read. I gave him a sponge bath tonight and he didnt like it, and didnt smile and coo at me before bed... Also he hates his new medicine!!! he spits it right back out and also seems to know how to keep his mouth closed when it comes time to taking it. He wont even take it in the nipple we usually use... So we have to be "mean mommy and daddy" and make him take it. At least he loved the Amoxil... Oh well... We will see what happens. Hopefully he will start taking the med with out such a show every night.
