16-10-2008 - What\'s been hapenning week 16+

My mood while writing this blog: Happy!

OK, so Trystian has been doing really good. I havent really been able to write a whole lot so here's what is going on. He babbles NONSTOP... He has found this "scream" that he loves!!! Will just scream and then laughs afterwards! The only problem with this scream is that he will do in randomly and always seems to happen when we go out to eat dinner! So here we are just sitting out to dinner with Trystian behaving himself! and he will scream!!! Everybody looks of course...

Trystian is our little He-Man!!! You put him in the highchair and push it up to the table... and then he decides to try to push himself backwards by using his hands and pushing off the table and about flipping the chair!! So we have to watch that!!!

Trystian is rolling over from tummy to back and back again!!! He rolls quite well! He scootches and sidewinds! He does this scootch, sidewind, roll scootch, sidewind, roll thing... It's so cute! So he tries to pull himself up to a stand as well... In fact he did on 14 Oct... He held my hands, and I just held them steady in the same spot, Trystian took my hands and pulled himself up onto his feet in a squat... The grabbed up on my shirt and pulled himself all the way up!!! Then he let go and opened his arms as if he wanted "up" and then quickly grabbed back on before he fell. He still cant pull himself up to a sit position from laying down, but he sure get's close!!! He can do "sit-ups"... if you hold his legs when he's laying down, and he will pull himself up to a sit... It's so cute to watch!!!

He picks things up quite well! he will pass things back and forth in his hands, and then he will set it on the edge of "xyz" and look at you as if to catch it before it falls! He also plays the I throw, you pick up game... My hubby isnt too pleased with this game and so he tries not to play... I explain to my hubby about the cause and effect thing, and he jsut kinda looks at me like he still shouldnt be doing it.

Trystian is eating plenty of solids! He will eat yobaby yogurt in the morning, then for lunch he will eat some cereal and veggie... then for dinner he will eat another veggie or finish the one from lunch... usually will also get something mashed up enough for him from our plate!! He gets a sippy cup at his meals and not a bottle... His choice really... He rather sippy cup and look more like mommy and daddy then the bottle...

He is completely off the binky... will not take it at all!!!! He is teething... still... We try to stay away from any meds or tylonal to help this... We usually make sure he has a blanky- his favorite teether- and a couple other teething things... That usually helps pretty well!

He is doing better with the stroller thing... We bought a maxi cosey forray thing.... one of those really expensive strollers... its the one that can face forward or toward you, and can lay completely flat, or fully sitting up... This stroller is nice, and comfy!!! He's been doing better with it!!! he doesnt get so cranky and need out of it all the time now!!!!

OK, so we bought a new car, and the convertable carseat is a little tight fit... I can't get it to fit in the middle seet at all becuase it's too long when layed back to the rear seating position... and if I put it on the end seat, it has to be the passenger and the passenger seat needs to be all the way up! So needless to say he is back in his infant carseat which he still fits fine.... I need to figure out what to do tho... once he reaches his ending in that carseat, I want him to stay facing the rear in the convertable seat!!! Well that being said... the car we bought is a brand new 2009 Dodge Journey! It's a wonderful car and lots of room... just the carseat issue is there... We are wondering if we got a smaller convertable carseat because the one I have right now is the only one they sold in Japan, and it's the Cosco Alpha Omega Elite one... It's a nice carseat!!! Just need to figure out how to make it fit rear in my car!!!

Trystian is starting to get a little stranger anxiety... He will be completely happy one moment and then a "stranger" says hi, and he will get this (oh so very cute) puppy dog sad, then it turns into this very sad cry... it's so cute, but it's funny that he does that. Also he is getting the lonleyness anxiety thing where you walk out of the room and he will freak and cry and once you are in sigth he will be happy and playing again!!!

Since I work, and my hubby is at home with Trystian all day, it makes it hard for me to catch all his firsts and such... Like my hubby told me that he actually crawled the other day... Well when I got home, he wouldnt crawl... he did his scootch, roll sidewind thing... But he could just be learning it still I know.. I do know that he can stand on his own holding onto an object i.e. the crib rail, or the coffee table... you have to put him in the stand in front of the object... but he can do it!!!

I love being a mommy although I do wish I could spend more time with him at home.

We are still using cloth diapers!!!! Swear by them!!!!

Got Trystisan's room all set up... a crib/changing table/dresser combo thingy all connected to eachother... Then we have a changing table/dresser thing on the other wall, then his swing that he still sleeps in sometimes because there are some nights he just wants to be held and rocked ALL NIGHT!!!!!

Well That's all I can think of to write for now... I'll try to catch up more when I think of it in another blog.
