07-11-2008 - Baby #2 is OK

My mood while writing this blog: much happier

So Baby #2 is going to be a nightmare… LOL… We showed up this morning to OU and got our U/S. The sonagrapher was real nice and then there was one in training. Well we immediately saw a sac! The baby still had a yolk sac so we could see that the baby was still very young!! They measured baby up and found that s/he should is only 7 weeks today on the dot! The baby was really small! Not even looking like much except a blob really. LOL… The one in training was asked to look for my ovaries, and she couldn’t quite find them, and then so they continued on with the measurements and such of the baby. We saw the heart tubes forming and them beating!!! Heard the beat too!!!! Baby’s heartbeat was 159. Well after that since they were having trouble finding the ovaries, they asked if they could do a transvaginal u/s. So I got ready for that, and we saw our “blob” even bigger! Wasn’t moving, but you could def see the heart beating! This made me very happy!!!!!

I am trying to figure out exactly when we conceived tho because since my LMP was 14 Aug, and that would make me 12 weeks along… Well, I found out I was prego on the 14^th with a HPT, and blood test on the 15^th of October! That being said, I tested negative 7 Oct. That means with me finding out on the 14^th, and I am 7 weeks today, I must have found out right as soon as the baby implanted and the hormone got in my blood stream!!! WOW!!! So that means I found out at 3 weeks and 4 days that I was prego!!!

This being said, I’m a lil sad that I am not so far along as I originally thought, but that’s ok, as long as this is a healthy baby!!! Well, Tony is hoping for a girl, and I wouldn’t mind having another boy… I am not sure tho of the sex, and we are not sure if we will get the for sure answer before s/he is born, so we will see. I will be happy as long as it is a healthy baby!!!!!!!!!
