18-8-2009 - poop anyone??

My mood while writing this blog: yuck

We [Tony, me and the kids] had just gotten home from being out, and picked up taco bell for dinner. We settled down, Trystian in his high chair, Tony in his chair, Atreyu in his car carrier asleep, and I on the couch next to him. We were eating our dinner… I had some soft chicken tacos, cheese rollups and etc… I had just eaten a taco when Atreyu started fussing, I rocked the carrier but it didn’t quiet him. So I licked the sauce off my hand so not to get it on Atreyu’s clothes, or skin. I reached into the carrier and got my phone and credit card out of the carrier, looked at my hand and realized that I still had sauce on my finger, so I instinctively dropped the phone and card and licked the sauce off my hand… uuuummmmm, Wwweeeeeeellllll, it tasted funny… I looked at the phone and card and found lots of mustardy colored “sauce” on it… I lifted up the blanket in the carrier to find LOTS of this mustardy colored “sauce” pouring out of Atreyu’s diaper into the carrier!!! Apparently he had a silent blow out!!! When I say blow out, I mean BLOW OUT!!! Poop up the wazoo was all over the carrier, and blanket, the personal belongings that found their way into the side of the carrier, and of course on Atreyu!!! And to think, that some of this made it’s way into MY MOUTH!!! Yuck!!! Needless to say, I took the carrier and Atreyu into the bathroom, gave him a bath right there, Tony took the carrier and took it apart, threw it in the washing machine, and then I brushed my teeth!!!!!!!! My husband lost his appetite and did not eat any more! I on the other hand, went on with a normal evening knowing that this isn’t the worst thing that could happen, and as it is gross!, it’s a normal mother thing that happens to most all parents at sometime… Atreyu was 7 weeks old at this time…
