16-7-2008 - Our baby girl!!

My mood while writing this blog: awe

We had our u/s today! Mom came with us...we were going to find out if we were having a boy or girl!

At 14 wks we had one done at a different clinic and the guy told us he was 98% sure it was a boy! To be honest I was a bit disappointed cuz my instinct said it was a girl. From the day we started trying I thought for sure we were having a girl. While getting married in Jamaica I even had a dream I was handed a pink bundle...and the lil baby was named Madeliny hahah we plan to name a girl Madeline.

I thought gee what if? So I stopped partaking in all the free drinks and sure enough one week later we found out I was pregnant!! Assuming it would be a girl because of my dream and instinct I bought my diaper bag ..hahhahha a totally GIRL one...all pink and sweet

Well needless to say the 14 wk u/s was a surprise. When I looked at our baby I saw baby girl totally but as he turned it he said he saw a little "something" and said 98% it was a boy. Hmm ok but we still weren't quite convinced...besides 14wks is early and well..we were sooo sure it was a girl hahhah

So today the lady was surprised we were told what we were at 14wks...and she said she saw no sign of male anatomy..and pointed out the labia of our precious lil angel girl.. I feel sooo in awe and in love with her. I cannot wait to meet her and find out everything she's excited about and what her path holds for her. It's going to be an incredible journey.

Mom and I went to browse the girl dept after hahha...and I picked out a lil storybook for her and a piglet 5 piece set with outfits and bib and hat. SIGH>...pinch me seriously..am I really going to be a mommy of a little girl in 132 days?? heheheh

ALSO when we started trying..I predicted a date of Nov 23 at 4:38 AM hhahha..we'll see how close that comes..but at least I have the month right!!
