28-1-2009 - He is still Good

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Ok, so last week my aunt was going to pay for my van to get on the road. Soon after the conversation, someone called us about our car to buy it. I told my aunt if we sell the car, I will not need her help with the payment on the van. Was I dumb not to take free money? I just hope my aunt didnt feel like we rejected her. But I just didnt want to take the money if we didnt really need it. We have had our car up for sale for about 6 weeks with no interested buyers. When someone finally called about it, I felt like we finally would be able to pay for things ourselves. So last night, the guy came and bought our car! Yeah, its gone. He had hit a deer and was desperate for a set of wheels. God works in weird ways. I'm sure the guy wasnt thinking about how hitting the deer could be a good thing, but God uses even bad situations for good. Right now my husband is at the town office registering the van, and then to the DMV. I already have the insurance on it. Its so nice to be able to have my new minivan running. Of course, the van battery was completely frozen up and didnt work last night when I tried it. Aaron has that taken care of. Van has snow tires too, and that will be good since we are expected to get anywhere from 6-20inches of snow today and tonight.
I am also very thankful for my wonderful brother and sister-in-law. Last night we were at their house and they have chickens. I asked for eggs and she handed me the carton and a birthday card with it (b-day is 29th). Claire knew this is my Golden birthday, meaning I will be 29 on the 29th. Her family makes a big deal out of Golden birthdays, and the other day I told her I didnt really need anything for my b-day but that $29 would be an awesome gift. Anyway when I got home, I opened the card and there was a check. I was thinking, oh how sweet, she must have given me $29. Totally blown away when I saw that the check was not made out to me, but to the fuel company for $800. We had casually mentioned in conversation that our new boiler was almost ready and that they had come and filled two propane tanks and that it was almost $700 for the propane. We also had said, it was such perfect timing that we sold the car and had the money to pay for it. I dont even know how to thank them!
Wish I could hug them!
