Gidjet seems so excited this year, which makes me even more excited. She loves the christmas lights and the christmas tree, and for the most part leaves it and the presents alone... well, moreso than the cat :P I have gotten all my shopping done, there were a few expensive things that I wanted to get Carl but couldn't really afford but might be able to for his birthday in February. I got Gidjet a bunch of musical instruments, I'm all for the creative/imaginative toys and a 'my baby can sign' DVD, so maybe we can learn a little bit of sign language together. We got a package of presents from Carl's grandparents which they said we could open early and they got Gidjet an Elmo Live (she loves Elmo, and calls him 'melmo') though when we took him out of the box and turned him on, she was scared of him the first few days, and would hide. (I don't blame her, the thing is LOUD and annoying as hell) Right now she just likes to knock him over and hear him say 'will you help elmo up please' over.... and over.. but she wont help him up. I would like to help him up.. and out the window. LOL
I have to go to the city for a level 2 ultrasound Jan 7th. From the last ultrasound they said the babies kidneys were enlarged a bit. My Doctor said that it usually is nothing to worry about but would like to have another one done just in case. That kind of freaked me out a little bit, and I am trying not to worry. On the bright side, it is a 3-d ultrasound that I wont have to pay for, and they will print out pictures for $5 each! Yay!
My mom took Gidjet to see Santa on Saturday while I was working (for the first time, I didn't take her last year) We got pictures, and she cried at first I guess, but let them take her picture.
I seem to be getting fatter by the hour. I shouldn't be surprised seeing the amount of sweets I have been eating. The doctor said there was sugar in my urine and she did a blood test, which came back normal, but she wants me to go for my glucose test early and told me to watch my sugar intake (YEAH RIGHT ITS XMAS).
I normally have a really sweet tooth anyway. I am only 2 lbs away from the weight I was when I gave birth to Gidjet so I will hate to see myself 3 months from now. LOL
Anyway, I am sorry this is so long, here is a video of Gidjet opening up her 'melmo' as she likes to call him enjoy!
