27-9-2009 - baby shower

So yesterday was my last and largest baby shower. And it was over the top amazing. I don't even know how to start thanking my parents and my fiancees mom. We had the party at my parents place because it's where i grew up. We have about 3 acres of land with a really pretty pond in the back yard. They got a tent set up with chairs and tables, one small food table, a drink table(I had beer and wine and other N/A drinks to give to people) and the gift table. Inside the house was a bigger table with food. My family has alot of friends who've they've known since before i was born, and who therefore have known me my whole life. All in all about maybe 55 people where there. It was amazing. My mom got these two cater waiters to pass food and just keep the flow going so she could enjoy her friends and the party as well. Jed had a great time because his friends actually showed up and had a blast. guys r so nervous for baby showers! I had a few friends there but mostly it was family and family friends, which was fine for me since i have a hard time splitting my focus between people. Everyone was so excited for the baby. My aunt said she loves newborns and wants to come over whenever we need her. I will post pictures but our friend jamie took professional photos so i'm waiting on him to send them over! I had gotten a new dress, haircut and mani/pedi for the shower so i'm excited to see how i looked. Everyone said i looked like i was going to pop right there! Hopefully not, seeing I have 4 weeks left. We got many great gifts and my mom Crocheted( sp?) two amazing blankets and an outfit to atch each blanket for when he is his stroller! She also knitted a few extra outfits, hats and sweaters. I also got some baby clothes from Holland because my dad teaches over there so they brought stuff back. international baby! Our crib and changing table have not arrived yet but when they do i'll go through everything and find places for it. we need to get some baskets and tubs to store things in, like bath stuff i guess. Anyway watch out for pictures they'll be up soon. Now off to clean my house. hope everyone is well!

Awwww yay! Glad to hear you and yet another amazing baby shower :) I'm jealous! I think I only get one lol. But that's ok. Can't wait to see pics of the little one! Only one more month!
