| 03-6-2009 - Tired of it.... they\'ve messed up TOO many times!!! | My mood while writing this blog:happy |
We USED to eat a Sonic restuarant in my hometown fairly often. Almost everytime we ordered here, atleast one thing would be incorrect. Each time, I would say "I'm never eating here again", only to come back a week or two later. lol.... Well, this is "the straw that broke the camels back" so to speak. I finally got fed up, and decided if the management here can't take care of their mistakes, I will go above their heads, to a bigger/higher power!! So, this is the letter I have written to the owner. I am mailing it today. Now, if you read this, be completely honest with me.... Am I being rude? What do you think about it? I'm curious to know.....
On 5-20-2009, My husband and I ordered from Sonic of Dover, and took it home. When we got home, and got our food out it we realized our order was HORRIBLY messed up! This is what we ordered: A number 4- grilled: with only lettuce, pickles, and cheese, with a Route 44 Dr. Pepper. A sonic cheeseburger, a cheese tot, a grilled cheese, and a large PowerAde. This is what we GOT: A grilled chicken sandwich- with only lettuce & pickles, NO CHEESE! A sonic HAMBURGER.. NO CHEESE, a cheese-tot that was hard as a ROCK, a large PowerAde SLUSH, a grilled cheese, a Route 44 Dr. Pepper, and NO fries!!! We only got TWO things the way we ordered it! I looked up the number to Sonic, and called… no one answered, so finally, the third time I called someone answered. I spoke to a woman named Christy. I told her the situation, and she told me if I came back down there, she would fix everything for me. I told her that we were already at home and settled in, and there was no way we were going to drive all the way back down there. She then told me that she would write my name down, and the next time we came in she would replace the #4 meal, the cheeseburger (or what was supposed to be a cheeseburger), the cheese-tot, and the powerade slush (that wasn’t supposed to be a slush)!!! As I was talking to her, she acted as if she was writing it down. Ok, so the next day 5-21-2009 we go to Sonic to get the things that were messed up, we push the call button, and try to explain to the person what happened. They searched for my name, which Christy said she had written down, and they never found it. So Melissa (who happened to be VERY rude and has been EVERY time She has EVER taken my order or tried to fix one) gets on the speaker, and starts in saying our name isn’t even written down. Then in a sarcastic tone, she asks who we spoke to… my husband tells her Christy, so she says again, in a sarcastic tone “Well, I’ll have to call her”. My husband replies “Ok, call her”. By this point, we are HIGHLY ticked off… I mean our food was COMPLETELY messed up the night before… and now they are giving us the run-around! So, after she calls her she gets back on and says (once again in a sarcastic tone). “I just spoke to her, and she said last night she spoke to a woman”, my husband replies “Yes, that was my wife!” Then she says “She told you that she would replace ONE meal” My husband says “No, she said she would replace all that was messed up”! So, needless to say… she ends up saying “This is all I can replace”, So, we told her we would not accept just one meal, we wanted EVERYTHING that was incorrect, and that we would just contact the owner, which I’m doing now.
Normally, I’m not the type of person to throw a fit about anything, I usually let it go, but I’ve had WAY more than enough of incorrect orders from Sonic of Dover. We spent twelve dollars for our order to be wrong! Put yourself in a customers shoes- How would you feel is something of this sort happened to you? I have said this before, but this time I truly mean it- “I will NEVER eat at Sonic of Dover again”! In my opinion, I think you should do some type of survey/poll or something of that sort on the service of this Sonic… I think it would be very beneficial, because I can tell you right now, I know several people that will not return to this sonic, simply because of poor service. I don’t know Melissa that works for you, other than from speaking to her while ordering, but I can tell you she is not a “people person”. She is definitely not the friendly or polite at all , and she does not know how to handle a simple situation without throwing attitude. I have spoken to her on more than one occasion regarding an incorrect order, and each and every time she has been the same “chip on my shoulder” type of woman!
I guess Christy did not write down my name, like she said she was doing. I don’t know if she thought we would “blow it off” or what, but if so she was horribly mistaken. On 5-22-2009, I called Sonic of Atkins, and left a message for you to call me. I KNEW not to leave the message with someone in Dover, because it would have never gotten to you. I just want to let you know how I feel about what happened last week, and has happened SEVERAL times before. Every thing I tell you may just go in one ear, and out the other, but at least I can say I tried. You may want to look into some type of “shadowing” or “secret shoppers” or something like that… I can PROMISE you that you will not like what you find. In closing, I hope that you take what I have informed you or seriously, I know for a fact that I’m not the only customer that has been treated like this, at this particular Sonic. Since your management there cannot fix their mistakes, I would like to know what, if anything, you will do to fix everything that was wrong on my order, this past Wednesday night.
