| 09-7-2009 - INHALE........DEEP BREATH.....AHHHHH | My mood while writing this blog:opinionated! |
Hey ladies! It's been awhile! I've been busy with school, & other things. I haven't been on a whole lot, but I've been on enough to keep up with what's goin on with everyone!
Joe's grandma
On May 9th, Joe's grandma was admitted to the hospital for severe back pain. They ran a bunch of tests, and kept her for several days. They diagnosed her with Non-hodgekins (sp?) Lymphoma (a type of Cancer). She was transferred to a different hospital, an hour away for better care, and to begin her Chemo treatments. The end of May, she done her 1st treatment, which was a 36 hour Chemo drip. They sent her home a few days later, and she was VERY sick =( She stayed sick for a long time. The end of June, they sent her back for her 2nd treatment... They told her that she wasn't strong enough for another treatment right now, and that if they were to do it, it would kill her, BUT, if she didn't get her strength built back up so they could do it next time that the cancer would spread further. She went back a couple of days ago, and they were able to do her 2nd treatment. She did really well this time, THANK GOD! She's goes back July 28th for her 3rd treatment! Please Keep Her In Your Prayers! Me & his grandma have had alot of ups and downs, but this has brought alot of stuff to reality for me..... that's a whole different blog for a different day though!!
My grandpa
Was admitted to the hospital on May 25th, due to the fact that he was spitting up blood... In fact, it was so much blood that he had to have a blood transfusion. He was in there for a couple of weeks, and they determined that his Cancer, which had been in remission for several years, had returned =( They told him he was too weak for Chemo, or any other type of treatments and there was NOTHING else they could do for him! They released him from the hospital, and my grandma took FMLA leave to stay with him, and take care of him 24/7! It was alot of work, and wore her down, but it was well worth it, getting to spend his last days with him. I don't think I've ever seen them so much. I was up there for hours EVERY DAY 'til the day he died. He passed away on June 29th, which just so happened to be my birthday. It was the worst birthday ever... I'm just thankful he's not hurting anymore... as hard as the situation is to swallow!
SCHOOL
I decided to take 6 hours (2 classes) on Summer Term I. In a normal semester, 6 hours would be easy... but Summer school is 4 weeks long, and cramming all that stuff into 4 weeks= ALOT of work. I added it up, and between both of my classes, I had 70 assignments & 8 tests per week! Now, for a 'traditional' student with no responsiblities it might not be all that hard, but I'm DEFF. not a traditional student. LOL. Between my two kids, and taking care of my grandpa, and Joe's grandma... It was some WORK!! For a month straight, I was getting 3-4 hours of sleep per night. Looking back, I don't see how on earth I done it. It deff took a toll on me though, I'm just now recovering from lack of sleep. I would spend time helping them, shopping, running errands for them during the day, do family stuff when my hubby got off, then go eat, get everyone to bed, then stay up til 2 or 3 in the morning doing my school work... wake up at 6 and start all over. I am ashamed to say that we ate out for a month straight... I just did not have the time, nor the energy to cook =(
Opinions
I seem to be VERY opinionated lately. I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing. Probably bad...
This website has became very dramatic... I HATE all of the childish behavior, it drives me INSANE! If you have something to say, just SAY IT! Don't go as far as to make up a fake profile, so you can say whatcha gotta say! That's Dumb/Childish/Annoying on SO many different levels!
This section is NOT, I repeat NOT directed at ANY ONE PERSON... it's about people in GENERAL! I don't understand why someone would intentionally TTC, when they aren't even old enough to have a JOB! Pretty sure you should kick it in "low gear" for a while, focus on your education, then worry about having kids later on. Why do people TTC when they don't have a job/place to live/steady partner... the list goes on! I just don't understand I guess... I have been going to the blogs section quite a bit here lately, and I read ATLEAST one, every day where someone is "scared" or "don't know what to do" Or "Oops" "Uh oh", pretty much upset after the damage has already been done! If you don't want kids.... GET ON BIRTH CONTROL! Trust me, I KNOW birth control does not work 100% of the time, but it sure beats nothing at all! There are SEVERAL forms... if you don't want one, try the next! I know people get pregnant by accident, but if you are repeatidly having unprotected sex and not on BC... it's bound to happen some time or another!! All of this stuff I have just wrote is NOT directed at anyone in particular. I am not bashing the very young people who accidently got pregnant, I just saying it's ignorant to do it intentionally! Also, I'm not bashing all of the "oops" babies, I'm just simply saying... If you are having unprotected sex over and over, and you are not on any form of BC... DO NOT complain about it when you get pregnant... anyone with a brain could tell you that it's bound to happen...
I haven't even posted this blog yet, but I can already tell you that I'm going to catch ALOT of crap! But... Ya know what!?!? I do not care! EVERYTHING I SAID WAS THE TRUTH! If it hurts your feelings or ticks you off... Maybe you should STEP BACK and look @ your situation!!
PS-
I finished my summer classes with an 89 & a 91!!!
~Hope all is well~
