| 06-4-2009 - Pre-Term Labor |
My mood while writing this blog: Optimistic |
I had not thought to blog about my experience with pre-term labor until someone asked me. I guess sometimes we get our babies home and take situations for granted, OR, forget how terrified we felt and take the time to put some thoughts down that others may take solice in.
This is my second child. My first son I had to have surgery to get pregnant and from the moment I got a positive pregnancy test I suffered with hyperemesis gravidarum for the duration of the pregnancy. In addition to this I suffered constipation that was so bad I had to have my bowels manually cleaned by a nurse with a glove etc. Yea, NOT FUN.
When I experienced pre-term labor the first time I thought I had gas. I have always had a history of an irritable gut anyhow but when I was going 3-4 days with what seemed like gas pains that would not pass I thought I should call the doctor.
Will continue later......

Tuesday, 7 Apr I'm a so sorry to read that you are going through this. I hope and pray that baby hangs in there. As for your previous NICU experience....I can relate and do not wish that on anyone. My 5 yr old was born with a heart defect and spent the first 6 months in and out of hospital. I know the stress. I will be thinking of you and praying for you and babes. BabyNateZMama -
Tuesday, 7 Apr I saw the blogs a little late cause I have been a little busy and just randomly check my page but HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH U N DA LIL ONE!!!! Since you been through this before I guess in that way it's a little easier just keep the faith and I'm sure your baby will hold on a little further for his benefit and yours ofcourse( can't imagine how hard it is to have the baby in NICU and have to leave n go back everyday). I was a 7 month premi and was born healthy so w.e the outcome I'm sure you'll both be fine. Hope ur feeling better though TAKE CARE dreaelise14 -
Tuesday, 7 Apr Thank goodness for new technology! I know that going into labor this early is not ideal in any way, shape, or form but at least in many cases, the baby is fine in the long run. I hope to heaven that you don't deliver early, please take it easy & don't push yourself (like I have to tell you that right?) - Best wishes - I will be thinking of you - Andrea kenyanmama -
