15-12-2008 - Rumbled.......

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Well, there I was with it all planned out. Ssssssh, until Christmas for the in-laws and my parents! Then my Mother-in-law does a search for Asher Savini Hill on the internet........3rd hit down is this site so on she pops and low and behold she sees her daughter in law with a 2009 due date next to her! Apparently she nearly dropped her glass of wine and had to poke Rich's Dad awake who was sat next to her asleep and drooling! Lol. She calls me at 9.00am the next morning and says "I hear congratulations are in order!" and I'm like ".....what/ Who? Where?". We obviously had to tell my parents too and I'm glad to say it went down fine with everyone!

I do think they think we are slightly insane, but Chris, my Mother in-law had her 1st 2 within 18 months of each other, and if I can do half the job she did then we'll be a very happy family! Everone was golden with Ash so I know we'll get a lot of support this time round too.

The only other big people to break the news to is work. I know I am within my legal rights to another dose of maternity leave with all the same benefits as I am returning to work before the end of my 7th week of pregnancy (I'm on holiday from 1st Dec you see), but it will still be hard to tell them. Without sounding smug I know they are looking forward to having me back, and me being off again will cause them hassle - but they have me for at least 7 months and I've vowed to do my best whilst I'm with them. I'm deteremined to have more of a break after No.2 as well, a good 18 months or more to give my body a really good time to recover and get its strength back. In the nicest possible way I feel a bit like a battery hen right now! LOL!!!!! I think people will think we've got nothing better to do than shag!!!!!!!!!! LOL.

Anyway, it's out in the open now, so all I've got to do is deal with the cold from hell and stifle my craving for chocolate milkshakes................
