29-12-2009 - im now a mommy

My mood while writing this blog: very very happy

i went in to the doctors on December 17 and almost everything was okay. my BP was high for the first time during this pregnancy and i had gained over 7 pounds of water weight in less then a week . so my doctor was concerned about that and said if i gain four more pounds withen a couple days to call him asap . well i went to bed that night and woke up and guess what - i gained that four pounds he didnt want me to gain . so i called him up and then he asked me if i had a headache of any kind and sure enough i did ; a painful one too . so needless to say he sent me to the hospital ( December 18 )and i was admitted . that night i had to collect my urine for 24 hrs and be hocked up to all sorts of monitors; when i was all done with that off to the lab my pee went . they came in my room ( December 19th ) @ 11:50 p.m and said my urine level was very very high in protein and asked me if i was okay with a c section for the next morning or the following morning . so i looked at my fiance and asked him which day honey and he said December 20th i cant wait any longer. we couldnt sleep at all that night . too excited that we were going to get to see our little girls for the very first time . we finally fell asleep at about five in the morning and we woke up about seven and got our showers and around 8 a.m they took me back and got me ready for my c section . brian (my fiance) had to wait to come back until i was ready and on the table .i was super excited but very scared about the c section . it all went very well and when i hear baby a cry for the first time i broke down in tears , and then they lifted the sheet down and i got to see her and then off she went to get checked . Payton came out screaming too , but unfortunally i didnt get to see her like i did her sister ; she needed to be checked . after they cleaned them up some i got to hold them for the first time which was very difficult being my whole entire body but my head was numb . we went into recovery and then the numbness in my arms and hands went down some and i got to feed them for the first time . ohh and did i mention they were born on their daddies birthday . happy birthday to him !
it was the BEST day of my life . now we are at home and they both weigh 5 pounds and some oz . will find out today how much they weigh being its their first doctors appointment. they are very very good babies and dont cry ever ! and are already on a schedule during the night . which is awesome !! well thats alittle of my birth story .
